The challenge
Design, from the earliest planning stage with the engineers and architects, the technology infrastructure of a 52-storey tower serving three audiences with very different needs at the same time — young professionals, families and residents aged 55 and over — spread across blocks of floors.
Our approach
Involvement from the design phase onward to determine the technology requirements specific to each block of floors
Integrated project management to coordinate all the technology trades
Design of a single network backbone able to support different usage patterns per audience without duplicating the infrastructure
Joint work with the engineers and architects to align technology choices with the building's architectural constraints
The outcome
The project is currently under way. The chosen approach serves three distinct resident profiles in a single tower from one technology backbone, reducing operating complexity over the long run.
